We're What The Flowers, a modern Blackpool florist doing things properly differently, and this autumn we're launching something the Fylde Coast hasn't really seen before. Not a class. Not a demo. An actual evening out, built around making something with your own hands, with a drink in the other one.

What is a sip and make evening, anyway

Think less "sit in rows and copy the teacher" and more small group, good playlist, glass of something you brought yourself, and a couple of hours making something genuinely worth taking home. No pressure, no judgement if your first attempt looks nothing like the demo. That's kind of the point. Every piece is different because every person making one is different.

Sip and make evenings in Blackpool are still a fairly new idea, and we wanted to be the ones doing it properly, not another generic craft night that could've come from anywhere.

Why we're doing it our way

We've never been a traditional florist, and we're not about to start now. Everything we make leans bold, a bit unexpected, definitely not beige. So when we started planning flower workshops in Blackpool, we didn't want people leaving with something that looked like it came off a shelf. We wanted people leaving with something that looked like them.

Statement pieces. Proper materials. None of the usual florist workshop clichés.

What to expect

Small groups. WTF HQ. A relaxed couple of hours where you're guided through the whole thing, start to finish, no experience required. You'll be working with a genuine mix of fresh and dried botanicals, premium finishing touches, and enough freedom to make your version completely your own.
